Retreat FAQ’s
Your Questions, Answered
-
Absolutely. Many of our guests attend their very first retreat with us. Everything is designed to feel welcoming, supportive and accessible, whether you've explored these practices before or not.
-
This is a small, intimate retreat with a maximum number of 12 guests. Keeping the group intentionally small allows for depth, safety, and meaningful connection, while still offering spaciousness and privacy.
-
Each day follows a gentle rhythm rather than a rigid schedule.
Mornings may begin with optional meditation or quiet reflection, followed by breakfast and guided group experiences. Afternoons are intentionally spacious inviting rest, journaling, swimming, hot and cold therapy, or time alone in nature. Evenings close with shared meals, integration practices, or quiet time.
Participation is always an invitation, never an obligation.
-
Rather than aiming for a specific outcome, the retreat creates the conditions for change to arise naturally.
Guests often experience:
• A deeper sense of calm and regulation
• Increased clarity and inner trust
• A softening of long-held patterns
• A renewed relationship with their body and intuitionIntegration continues well beyond the retreat itself.

No. While we encourage guests to participate where they can, this is your retreat. If your body is asking for rest, quiet time or a walk through the grounds, you're encouraged to honour that.
-
Yes. We've intentionally created spacious afternoons and moments between workshops so you have time to rest, receive your massage, enjoy the sauna or pool, journal, walk the property or simply do nothing at all.

All meals are lovingly prepared by our private chef, Aja, using fresh, seasonal ingredients. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included, and we do our best to accommodate dietary requirements where possible.
Breakfast always includes a hot and cold option for each guest, while lunches are nourishing bowls loaded with protein, veggies and grains. Dinner is served as delicious share plates with a variety of options, and always ends with a sweet treat made with love.
Unless you specify otherwise, meals include meat - they are mostly gluten and dairy free made from local ingredients. Our wonderful chef can accommodate any dietary needs you have.
There is also a coffee and tea station available for guests at all times.
-
Yes. One of the things that makes Restore different is that Bonnie and Jules are present throughout the entire retreat, not just during workshops. Whether it's over breakfast, during a walk or while creating together, there is plenty of opportunity to ask questions, seek guidance or simply have a conversation.
-
Restore is a blend of both.
Alongside time to rest, receive and slow down, you'll also learn practical skills through the lens of Chinese Medicine, explore gentle self-awareness practices, and leave with tools to continue supporting yourself at home. Our intention is not simply to create a beautiful weekend away, but an experience that stays with you long after you return home.
